Been slacking away these weeks....not really...but rather overwhelmed by my ever increasing workload, commitments to everybody...
Saucony Run 2008
Ok, a quick brief on this run which I was supposed to be accompanied by two other pals but one was down with fever while the other was flying AF-1........
I took the 15 km run, without any training as usual...And I seriously regret not preparing myself for this run. It was real bad for my legs as they were crying out to me to stop even walking and just sit down at the Food Centre for a cup of Tea-C instead... Perseverance got the better of me as I struggled out the whole run within 2 hours which was quite bad....Nonetheless, I choose to comfort myself by claiming that I lacked sleep, preparation, etc.....I thought I had a look of stares from the other runners as I had this 'Breathe Right' nasal strip over my nose...Do I look alien to 'em? Sigh.....Guess they din watch EPL often as years back my idol Robbie Fowler had it on his nose when he was playing for Liverpool.
New House
No pics for this chapter as I'm still going through the various defects and seeking the developers' rectification. Overall, I'm thrilled, excited yet feeling jaded over this new house. With renovations to be minimised yet can't be too pathetic, I have to measure the best deal out of the impossible by leveraging on my knowledge from my work...3 quotations for comparison and pick the best out of it. However, I would not blindly stick to the guidelines where you are to go for the lowest quotes. It is of common sense that cheapest does not equals to best works. I note that some contractors can give you the cheapest quotes you can find islandwide but at the end of the works, you'll be pulling your hair off in frustration. Just like one pal of mine shared over dinner yesterday, it is ok to pay a little bit more for quality works. Agreed! I am working on it and hope the recommendation I got would not disappoint me.
SUPERBAND
I did not expect my air time for the 1st episode of Superband to be this much....(-.-).....
There I was adjusting my tie when wify came over and try to help me adjust. CAUGHT~!!
One camerman came running towards us to insist on us re-do the scene again as it looked so 'sweet'......In a bid to ensure I would not go on air, I gave the most pissed face while they re-do the take a couple of times....I strongly felt that it would not go on air, but to my astonishment it came out early into the show and my handphone did not stop sounding after that. My Kokoro~chan also got quite a bit of air time oh, with her sister in as well...Our 'job nature' insist that we should not go under the limelight that often thus we thought we could go a little low-key on this....Anyway, we didn't look that bad on tv so not bad eh...
EURO 2008
Euro is coming to an end this monday morning and as expected, spain is one of the finalists. I'm not going to give any predictions but I do hope that they'll lift the trophy after their amazing feat to break the penalty shoot-out jinx.....
