Stubborn

Stubbornness

Had some disagreement with Dad over sale of flat. Not gona elaborate much on it but the bottomline is he did not adhere to the initial mutual agreement reached with the current agent which with the upcoming evaluation report could fetch us more rewards. He was adamant to sell it at a lower price to a national which I'm not comfy with and plus a verbal agreement that the comission to the agent will be given by the buyer. I don't like that at all but regardless, the deal is being firmed up and persuading my dad won't help since he claim that no one is home to assist him when potential buyers are touring our house. CASE CLOSED. Not going to comment further on this issue else our relationship might be affected.

Fatique

The many running here and there to settle house stuff is seriously taking a big toll on me. Plus my additional duties on night shift, it is quite taxing on me. I'm vexed enough over the house stuff thus I'm seriously taking a hands off approach over the sale of the current house since Dad is that stubborn. Not in a good mood to blog further, shall close now.

Remarkable Achievement

Annual Soccer Tournament organised by Pioneer at the Cage
Played for my bro in the recently held 5-a-side soccer tournament organised by his former employer Pioneer Electronics at the Cage. Our team was up against quite a couple of strong teams comprising foreign talents from japan as well. It kicked off with an exhibition match which they did not have enough players and asked me to do a cameo appearance....(*.*)......
So the first game for our team I sat out on the bench but was focused throughout where I observed the playing style of the various teams and identify the strong players of each team. My turn to step on the pitch came immediately and I was playing the last man with my bro shaking legs as the goalie. Went straight into action with some heavy tackling, intercepting of passes and went in with a few hard challenges. Earned a couple of freekicks along the way but I guess other than my bro, the rest of the players thought I got myself injuried in those tackles. Only my bro know that I dive so 'genuinely' that almost every person on the pitch (inclusive of the referee) believes that I'm hit badly. Ok, I have to get this straight across to all pals whom plays soccer with me. Diving is a form of art!
Then came a foul in one of those matches where we were one goal down and we earn a penalty...nobody...I mean NOBODY wanted to step up to take the spot kick!! Why?? Because we were attacking towards the exit end of the cage where all the supporters/other teams/video man/cameraman were sitted and all the focus will fall on whoever takes this kick. Wanted to give the opportunity to my bro but he kinda act blur...So I step forward, re-positioned the ball, turned my back on the ball, thought of how Fowler takes his spot kick...turn, ran towards the ball and hit it in to the right bottom corner of the net....First motion after that was to kiss my wedding band as it became a SOP for me to do so as a part of celebrations for goals scored ever since I got married...The cheers from the crowd got the hairs on my skin standing up and I felt some butterflies battling it out in my stomach. A well-taken penalty I must say.

With our team peaking at the later stage of the tourny thumping teams 3-1, 4-0...we reached the final and matched up against the Japanese Team which we lost 1-2 in the group stages. I played the full game as last man and I seriously do not recall my bro (Goalie) get to touch the ball any bit....By halftime we were up with a considered fluke goal from Stan, second half was easy as I close down the 2 Japanese whom were going in hard on me but can sense that they are going slower. They pinned hopes on their young star think probably around 14 years of age...This boy is fast but unfortunately, he tried to go direct on me in one challenge but got repelled back to the wall and although cushion was there but he went down straight after that knock...wet eyes, but stood up almost immediately and carried on with the battle. The bad mistake made by opponents was their eagerness to get that goal back and giving us the opportunity to counter when I intercept their passes and spread a long pass up front for a quick counter...I lost count but I believe we won by 4 or 5-0...CHAMPIONS...That was the first time my bro won this competition amidst the fact that he is no longer with Pioneer. This is my second Champion Medal collected this year, on top of the Volleyball Medal which I received when I was more of a waterboy. But no one can take away any credit from me, the whole team, for winning this competition as we really sweat it out..and bled quite abit too for me. Was sharing after the match with my bro that this was the first time we won got champions in a soccer tourny....could this be a sign that Liverpool will win EPL this year...I seriously hope and believe so.

P.S.: Don't ask me why no pics on the tourny cause I do not have any..hoping to get some of 'em soon so I could at least post it on Facebook.

Batam Trip with my Batok Family

Immediately after the tourny, I went for a quick shower before collecting the championship medal and headed for HarbourFront for a short relaxing trip with wify to catch up with our Batok Family whom went there ahead of us. In fact was only one or two hours earlier as they were waiting for Benjamin Teo who got caught in a massive jam. Practically our aim of the trip was merely for a short gathering with old buddies and of course to celebrate Man getting his promo this year. Got to spend valuable time with my god daughter Qiqi is something I have been looking forward to.

Was quite puzzled why all of a sudden her brother Jordan was so sticky to wify...wants to hold her hand everywhere we went, sit with her while inside the vehicle, want to sit beside her during meals, want to be fed by her, want to walk pass the custom check with her ONLY, etc....Only one thing he did not want her to follow to, that was when he wanted to pee...He blushes when the mummy ask if he wants my wify to bring him to toilet...Haaa...His embarassed facial expression led to tonnes of laughter for all...Although most attention was evolving around him, I insisted that my little Qiqi was not neglected as I spent time talking and playing with her....

This trip also marked the revenge on Seafood and A&W.....we practically spent almost every single ruppiah we have on food, although we left some cash for the usual 'Kue Lapis'.. You don't get to drink rootbeer float in Singapore so this something you'll really love to eat to your stomach's content when given the chance. Picture below shows how caring Qiqi is towards her brother...and how much we missed this bear standing behind 'em.

Till my next blog entry again......am really jaded with the preparations for my new house, but I hope all this is worth it...the stress is immense so I hope after I settled in there probably I can divert my attention alittle from there or bring down the stress level for both wify and me so we move on to Plan B.

別了家駒十五載...海闊天空音樂會

別了家駒十五載...海闊天空音樂會 was held on 10 June 2008 in memory of 家駒.......

Was viewing through youtube on the upload by fans in HK who attended the concert. All was well until I see the three of them singing 海闊天空, can't seem to hold back my tears....also when 家強 sang 祝你愉快 to 家駒 as a birthday song....

What type of music do you listen to? Rock? Pop? Support only one band and reject any others?? 家駒's vision is to support musicians....There are many potential bands(HK) out there like Soler, Kolor just to name a few...Support these musicians, appreciate the music they created...support rock 'n' roll....I used to listen ONLY to Beyond and reject all other bands....I shall stop being so subjective and start to open my ears to more variety of bands...

A minute silence in memory of 家駒.........

~LOVE & PEACE~
